This one-of-kind rice paper scroll has been painted, then waxed with beeswax and further enhanced with pan pastels and additional encaustic wax in the mandala at the top.
The paper scroll itself measures 54” x 18”. The hanger measures 28” wide.

Ideal for a meditation space, altar background, or anywhere you need a calming view. My scrolls are intended to provide a moment of peace for the mind and heart. They magically change depending on the light they are hung in. In a window, light streams in from behind highlighting their luminous qualities; on a wall, they exhibit more depth of color and will change throughout the day depending on the light in the room.
While durable enough to last for years, they are also intentionally impermanent to remind us of the unfolding process of life.
I am often commissioned to do a scroll for a specific place/purpose. Contact me if you're interested in having a custom designed scroll. Size can range from very small up to 48" x 16". Diptychs and Triptychs are also possible.
